Bringing the zoos to the zoo

So yesterday, my sisters, my mom and I got the bright idea to take all seven of our children to the zoo. We had a lot of fun, but we also spaced just how much of a handful our children can be together. For those of you reading this blog and who don't fully know our family there are seven kids; Kyle who's 5, Jarret who's 4, Braiden who's 4, Trevor, who's is almost 3, Tyce who's 2, Audrey who's 1, and Cruz who's 3 months. For those of you who can count that means we psychotically brought six, yes six, boys ages 5 and under, and one girl to a huge, very busy zoo. Let's just say that we were all a little paranoid of losing at least one of the boys, who are little imps in their own rights. But we all made it out alive, all the children in tow, and our sanity mostly in tack.

All the boys had their favorite animal that they wanted to see, and they were all so cute with their pencils and maps in tow, marking off the animals that they had seen already. I loved every minute of their wonder and delight at the different exotic animals. Kyle proudly exclaimed to his father when we got home that he loved all the animals, but especially the gorillas. He also proudly told his father in his most authoritarian voice that he now knew everything about animals, and to demonstrate his knowledge he told is father that ostriches could not fly because they had long necks, obviously. I got a chuckle out of that.

Starting a Blog

This particular blog is for my family, are you happy I finally started a blog. I loved being able to check up on the other parts of my family at the touch of a button, so I figured that I should do one as well, since some anonymous people keep saying that they don't know what's going on in my life and my family. I also thought that it would be a good way for those family members that live far away and never really see us to catch up with the family. I don't really know how well I will be at this blogging thing, but, hey, it never hurts to try. So I hope you all enjoy.
